Kayleigh is a Los Angeles native and proud California resident. She received a B.A. in Integrative Biology with Honors from the University of California Berkeley. The theme of her past and current positions is “See a need, Move to lead” with experience in cardiovascular research, clinical volunteering, and improving educational opportunities. Kayleigh is passionate about empowering underserved communities and global health. She spent six months in Cape Town, South Africa, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Tanzania. In her time abroad, she taught chemistry, implemented nutrition projects, provided patient education in clinics, and went on safari. Her ultimate goal is to improve the lives of unique patient populations such as individuals living with SCD through advocacy and action. As the Community Health Worker for Los Angeles/San Bernadino, she is looking forward to forming connections with clients, connecting them to helpful resources, and working together to improve their daily living.”
