Ruben is an active member of his community; born and raised in Los Angeles, he quickly immersed himself with his environment, always looking to be a helping hand. He serves his community by volunteering for local nonprofit organizations focused on providing resources to his community. His indigenous background has influenced his health equity passion, respect towards all walks of life, and everyday grit to become the best version. Ruben graduated in 2019 with a B.A. in Communication in Health from California State University, Channel Islands. With a provisional EMT license and experiences that yield vitals, prehospital care, and basic life support. He is honored to help serve this community at Cayenne Wellness Center. As a Community Health Worker, he holds himself accountable for listening to his clients and providing them with information and resources to help his clients.
