Native of Detroit, MI. Previously lived in Denver, Colorado then my family relocated to Oakland, California.

Attended Montera JR HS, Skyline HS in Oakland California. and University of California, Davis for premed and chemical engineering transferred to the University of Texas at Austin in the College of Engineering and graduated receiving a BS in Chemical Engineering with Biomedical emphasis.

Worked for E. I. DuPont at Savannah River Lab Nuclear Facility Aiken, South Carolina. Civilian Chemical Engineer in Advance Composites and Adhesives for Sacramento Air Logistics Center, Sacramento, CA.

Selected to participate in Creighton University Premed Post Baccalaureate program. Accepted full military scholarship from the Health Professions Scholarship Program from the U.S. Army.

Attended and graduated from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor School of Medicine. Completed my Transitional residency year at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Active duty Captain Medical Doctor for the United States Army during Desert Storm conflict.

Civilian Residency in Family Practice at the University of Illinois, Peoria, IL. Clinical practice over last 26 yrs in U.S.Army Ft. Bliss CTMC / William Beaumont Army Medical Center ElPaso, Tx., Monterey county, Solano County and Central Valley – Stanislaus and Merced Counties. Currently with Golden Valley Healthcare Clinics since 2008. Completed Fellowship in Primary Care Psychiatry from UC Irvine Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior 2019.

Clinical practice in Merced, CA.

Women’s Health Specialty Clinic – Family Practice with Obstetrics & Gynecology , and NAMS National Certified Menopause Practitioner NCMP, Fellow in Primary Care Psychiatry.

I am an advocate for educating people on sickle cell disease, and live with the disease myself. I strive to empower young women to lead independent, active, and productive lives.

Mother of two wonderful children and Gma of one grandson. I enjoy spending time with my SO, family and friends. Enjoy the theater, traveling, movies, music, lifelong learning and believe God continues to watch over me and will direct my path.
