Compassionate Community Health Worker (CHW)

Stephanie Lopez

Stephanie Lopez, who hails from San Francisco, California, embarked on her journey of personal and professional development at the tender age of 14. Her early foray into community service began with Latinos en Extasis, a nonprofit youth program at the Mission Neighborhood Health Center (MNHC). This experience was crucial in shaping her formative years, providing her with opportunities to engage in teamwork, contribute to her community and peers through health education, and develop her facilitation skills. These opportunities not only nurtured her confidence but also laid a solid foundation for her future endeavors during her seven-year tenure with the program.

Lopez pursued higher education at California State University East Bay, where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Her academic journey was fueled by a profound passion for helping others, coupled with a desire to create a positive impact on people’s lives.

The intersection of Lopez’s career aspirations and her commitment to service led her to Cayenne Wellness Center at a pivotal moment in her life. As she navigated the uncertainties of her career path, joining Cayenne emerged as a clear and fitting choice. Lopez looks forward to the opportunity to learn from, grow with, and empower individuals battling Sickle cell disease, marking the beginning of an inspiring chapter in her journey with Cayenne Wellness Center.
