Dr. Kristyl Smith-Brown is a Los Angeles native with a passion for inspiring and leading change and fostering innovation through an integrative bio-psycho-social approach, research, and creativity.
Dr. Kristyl is a graduate of San Diego State University with a major in Psychology and completed her Doctor of Psychology in Organizational Management and Consulting at Philips Graduate University.
Dr. Kristyl serves as the Dean of Operations at Tarzana Treatment Center College, a SAPC-funded start-up college that provides a variety of educational programs aimed at providing career training and opportunities in substance abuse.
Dr. Kristyl also serves as an adjunct professor at Tarzana Treatment Center College, Glendale Community College, and Cerritos College, teaching a variety of psychology courses, including The Psychology of Oppression, Critical Thinking in Psychology, and Developmental Psychology.
Dr. Kristyl is also a Sickle Cell Warrior (type SC). Through her many challenges with this disease, she continues to use her journey as a source of motivation to accomplish her professional and personal goals and inspire others to do the same. She has been dedicated to sickle cell awareness and advocacy since 2010 and has served as a spokesperson at the collegiate level and national levels.

Dr. Kristyl is a wife, a “Mom-ty”, and a pet-parents of 3 small dogs.
