Camp Crescent Moon
(presented by the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation)
A specialized summer camp for children (7 – 15) with sickle cell disease. Each year nearly 100 children from Southern & Central California attend the nation’s first week-long summer camp of its kind.
Since 1967, the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of California has provided an outdoor camping program for children with sickle cell disease, who because of serious medical complications would not be able to attend traditional camps.
Camp Crescent Moon allows campers to participate in a creative outdoor experience and provides growth and development for each camper.

Camp Superstar
(presented by Sickle Cell Community Advisory Council and Children’s Hospital Oakland)
A specialized medical summer camp for children (7 – 17) with sickle cell disease. Each year nearly 80 children from Northern & Central California attend Camp Super Star.
Camp Superstar allows campers to participate in fun activities such as horseback riding, rock wall climbing, swimming, and a variety of sports. Camp Superstar provides education, growth, and development for each camper.
