Cayenne Wellness Center and the Sickle Cell Community Consortium are hosting their 4th Annual Virtual 24-Hour World Sickle Cell Day Event! During this event, sickle cell organizations Worldwide will participate by connecting with the global sickle cell community.
Please save the date for the virtual 24-hour World Sickle Cell Day event on June 19, 2023. The event will feature educational activities, games, resources, storytelling, advocacy sessions, and more!
This is a free event, and everyone is welcome to attend virtually. We hope you will join us for a day of learning, fun, and community!
What to Expect
The event will feature a variety of activities and sessions, including:
- Educational presentations on sickle cell disease
- Interactive games and activities
- Resources for people with sickle cell disease and their families
- Storytelling and poetry
- Advocacy sessions to learn how to get involved in the fight against sickle cell disease
When and Where
The event will occur on June 19th from 12:00 AM to 12:00 AM CST. We invite every sickle cell disease organization worldwide to participate in the event. There is no monetary cost associated with participation, and you can join us and host a 30-minute or an hour-long session.
