Program Overview
This 14-week knitting series invites participants to explore knitting as both a craft and a meditative practice. Each class blends technical instruction with reflection, encouraging participants to see knitting as a pathway to healing, memory, and connection.

September 2025
Sept 7 – Casting On New Beginnings
Learn the basics of casting on, knit stitch, and mindfulness in repetition.
Sept 14 – Finding Rhythm
Explore knit and purl stitches as a rhythm of grounding and presence.
Sept 21 – Patterns of Memory
Begin simple patterns (stripes, ribbing, textures), reflecting on memory and heritage.
Sept 28 – Sacred Circles
Learn knitting in the round, symbolizing community, wholeness, and continuity.
October 2025
Oct 5 – Knots & Connections
Explore joining techniques and the symbolism of interconnectedness.
Oct 12 – Threads of Resilience
Focus on correcting mistakes and discussing resilience through mending.
Oct 19 – Textures of Emotion
Experiment with yarn weights and textures to reflect feelings and stories.
Oct 26 – Weaving in the Spirit
Learn finishing techniques and weaving in ends with intention.
November 2025
Nov 2 – Colors of Healing
Work with color changes, reflecting on how hues influence mood and memory.
Nov 9 – Story Stitches
Create small personal projects (scarves, patches) as narrative symbols.
Nov 16 – Sacred Patterns
Explore symbolic stitch patterns as ritual and storytelling.
Nov 23 – CLOSED (Thanksgiving Week)
Nov 30 – Collective Weave
Group project begins: knitting squares to form a community healing blanket.
December 2025
Dec 7 – Binding Off with Intention
Learn to finish projects with reflection and gratitude.
Dec 14 – Closing Circle & Showcase
Participants share completed works, reflect on their journey, and join in a closing ritual.
Knitting Kits
Beginner Kit – $30
Includes bamboo needles, one skein of yarn, a stitch marker, and a guide.
Intermediate Kit – $45
Includes two pairs of needles, two skeins of yarn, stitch markers, tapestry needle, and guide.
Healing Bundle Kit – $60
Includes curated yarn in soothing colors, multiple needle sizes, stitch markers, tapestry needle, reflection journal, and guide.

We believe healing and creativity should be accessible to everyone. That’s why this program is offered on a sliding scale. Please choose the rate that feels most sustainable for you at this time:
Per Class (Drop-In) $15 – Supported Rate (for those with limited resources) $20 – Standard Rate (covers class costs) $25 – Sustainer Rate (helps support others in attending)
Full Series (14 Classes) $140 – Supported Rate (~$10/class) $210 – Standard Rate (~$15/class) $280 – Sustainer Rate (~$20/class, helps cover community access) Knitting Kits (One-Time Purchase) Beginner Kit – $20 Intermediate Kit – $30 Healing Bundle Kit – $45 (includes journal + reflection prompts) Community Care Option Participants may also sponsor a kit or a class for another community member who would not otherwise be able to attend.
