Diego Acuna is a Social Work Intern with years of experience supporting individuals and families through mental health, school-based, and social service programs. He has worked in intensive programs such as FSP, TBS, Wraparound, Homelessness Prevention, and school-based counseling, and currently serves with the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services on the Behavioral Health Integration team, collaborating with the Social Work Department to provide service coordination and mental health linkage. Diego’s background includes counseling, case management, and advocacy across healthcare, education, and community-based settings, where he has helped clients access housing, mental health care, and community resources. Bilingual in English and Spanish, he is passionate about promoting resilience, empowering growth, and serving communities with empathy and respect.
