Today’s announcements are as follows:

Virtual attendees, if you are planning to attend breakout sessions today, you will need to use a laptop or pc. Do not use a mobile device for these sessions.
Bookmark our daily event page. We will use this page to keep you informed.
Hotel Notifications
- The hotel will require a soft incidental hold if Cayenne Wellness Center covers your rooms. Don’t be alarmed. This hold will temporarily remove the money from your account but will be replaced within a few days. Please bring a credit card that is able to hold the fees temporarily. The fees may be as much as $100/day or more
- The conference rooms don’t have wifi, but Marriott Bonvoy does offer wifi to its members.
- Hotel directions for in-person attendees. When entering the main lobby entrance, stay on the right side and walk to the end of the hall, then make a right turn. There, you will see our registration booth and meeting rooms.
Today at 6:45 is the Benefit Concert. Our emcees for the event are Dexter Dardan and Ramon Reed. Tickets at the door are $30. Donations in all denominations are welcomed by all attendees. Dexter is a multi-talented actor who grew up singing in his church’s choir. At the age of 3, Dexter began singing in a church choir. However, he was born with sickle cell disease and is now a celebrity advocate for the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America (SCDAA). Some of the films that he has starred in are Disney’s Minuteman, Cadillac Records, Geography Club, Joyful Noise, Maze Runner, Scorch Trials, and Death Cure with Forrest Whitaker and Usher. He is originally from New Jersey.

Ramon is a young American actor who first gained national attention as Young Simba in The Lion King on Broadway. Then, he gained wider recognition when he became part of the cast of Disney Channel’s Just Roll With It in 2019 and the coming-of-age show 13:The Musical on Netflix in 2022. Ramon was diagnosed with sickle cell, type SC when he was two or three years old. Enjoy live music with Matt Jamele and the Jammin’ Jellies!
