Why This Event Matters
Sickle cell disease is a life-threatening genetic disorder that disproportionately affects African American and Hispanic communities. It’s associated with a range of severe complications and remains underfunded due to systemic inequities in research and healthcare.
Through events like this, we aim to:
- Raise awareness about SCD and its impact.
- Advocate for better resources, treatments, and care.
- Unite the community to show support for individuals and families living with SCD.
By participating, you’re helping us break barriers and create meaningful change.
