Cayenne Wellness Center is actively seeking dedicated, mission-driven leaders to join our Board of Directors beginning October 2025.
At Cayenne Wellness Center, we are committed to improving the quality of life for individuals living with sickle cell disease. We do this by closing gaps in care, advocating for evidence-based treatment, and expanding access to culturally competent, patient-centered services. Our work focuses on:
- Health education
- Mental wellness
- Housing support
- Integrative health services
- Driving systemic change in healthcare delivery
About the Role
Board members play a critical role in advancing our mission by providing strategic guidance, amplifying our impact, and supporting initiatives that ensure individuals with sickle cell disease receive the quality of care they deserve—care rooted in research, compassion, and equity.
Term Length: Up to two four-year terms
Meetings: Held virtually throughout the year
Positions available:
- First Vice Chair
- Secretary
We Welcome Applicants With Experience In:
- Sickle cell disease (as a Warrior, caregiver, provider, or advocate)
- Health policy and systems-level change
- Clinical or public health leadership
- Nonprofit governance, fundraising, or community organizing
We especially encourage applications from individuals committed to advancing equitable access to care and holding systems accountable for delivering evidence-based, patient-centered treatment.
