Yesenia Mendez Buenrostro

Yesenia Mendez Buenrostro is a dedicated public health professional with a passion for advancing health equity and improving access to care. With a strong background in community engagement, health education, and program coordination, she has worked alongside nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and community-based initiatives to address health disparities and promote wellness.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a Minor in Communicative Disorders from Fresno State and has earned certifications in Health Coaching Conversations, Project Management Essentials, and Adult & Youth Mental Health First Aid. Additionally, she has completed the Foundational Skills for Communicating About Health certification from the University of Michigan.

Guided by principles of equity, cultural humility, and community-driven solutions, Yesenia approaches every initiative with compassion and a commitment to meaningful impact. Whether coordinating outreach programs, advocating for underserved populations, or developing health-focused initiatives, she is dedicated to creating lasting change.

Beyond her professional work, she is actively involved in her community and enjoys volunteering at her church. In her free time, she loves running and cherishing moments with her two-year-old niece. As a Central Valley native, Yesenia is proud to serve the community and is committed to ensuring every individual receives care with dignity and respect.
