Through these opportunities, she was encouraged to cultivate her craft and took an interest in fine art.

Brave Wings portrays the often scary plight of a sickle cell patient during and after a crisis. From the initial unknown pain to feeling better, to the joy of being discharged, and the return back into our normal routines. The children are shown in this painting glide safely from sickle-shaped parachutes onto a soft hospital bed. During a crisis, we may feel most vulnerable as our inner child continuously hopes for a safe landing. No matter what we go through, we keep going and face every obstacle with brave wings.
