The Tongva are the Indigenous people of the Los Angeles Basin and the Southern Channel Islands. In addition to the Tongva, the neighboring tribes in the region include the Tataviam and Chumash peoples.

Cayenne Wellness Center's commitment to developing an authentic relationship with the land and its Indigenous inhabitants is a vital acknowledgment of the ongoing presence and significance of these communities. Recognizing and honoring the Tongva, Tataviam, and Chumash people reinforces a connection to the region's history and culture and the responsibility to engage meaningfully with Indigenous communities.
